In the first instance we identify the best type of tenant for your property then target that type of person through advertising.

Once the person has been identified we conduct rigorous checks, including references, credit checks and an interview to confirm that the tenant is suited to your property.

Recent legislation, the Residential Tenancy Act, has imposed some requirements for people who wish to have their property tenanted. This includes having the property correctly insulated and the installation of smoke alarms.

All maintenance work should be completed and 2 sets of keys supplied for all the locks in the house.

Aoraki Property Management will arrange and supervise all the maintenance and repairs up to an agreed amount, such as $250 as an example. Repairs in excess of this amount will still be managed by us but prior to conducting the work we will consult with you and obtain your approval.

However, if the work is of an urgent and immediate nature, and you cannot be contacted, we will initiate this work and inform you at the earliest.

Unless an unforeseen problem occurs, the inspections are conducted quarterly and you will receive a written report.
